Other Ways to Help
Did you know that you can make a donation to the CPA by shopping online, searching the web or using your credit card? By doing these things just a little bit differently, you can help earn money to fund our programs and services.
1. E-cycle your old cell phone or ink cartridges. Collect your empty ink cartridges; old cell phones, chargers and plugs; and laptops and PDA’s and donate them to the CPA. We will receive a donation from the recycling company for every item we send in. For more information on our e-cycling program please contact us
2. Surf the web. You can earn money for CPA by doing a web search. Use the search engine freelanthropy.com, powered by Yahoo, and earn a penny for each search you conduct on the site. Just click here or choose from the "Search now to support" box.
3. Redirect gifts. Instead of having people give you birthday or Christmas gifts, ask them to donate gifts or money to the CPA.
4. Create a care package. Soup, reading material, tea, chocolate … anything you think the person might need or enjoy. Good for someone who is sick or otherwise in need of a pick-me-up. Please send them to the CPA when your done with them! Please include your name and a custom message.
5. Serve on a CPA Board or Committee. Instead of doing nothing, why not serve on a CPA Board or Committee and go beyond helping prevent crime and violence but to make the world a greater place.
6. Place The CPA In Your Signature: Place the website of the CPA, http://cfpoa.webnode.com, in the signature of your emails (this will make it show up at the bot om of every email you send out). If you participate in a number of online forums, place a link in your signature that will show up each time that you post on those forums. Be sure to read the forum rules before doing this as some do not allow it, but this is a great way for others to learn about the CPA, especially if you are active and well liked in the community.
7. Make A Video: If you have a digital movie camera, consider making a video detailing why you like the CPA and load it up to a shared video site like youtube where others can see it and/or send it to us.
8. Create A T-Shirt: if you need a basic T-shirt for working out or other activity, consider making your own that advertises the CPA instead of getting a plain T-shirt at your local clothes shop. Sites like cafepress.com will allow you to create your own T-shirt that can help publicize your favorite charity, the CPA!
9. Tell your friends! There really is nothing like word of mouth, so please do tell your friends and family about the CPA, its work and how you support us.
10. Host an Event. Host a party or get-together in benefit of the CPA. All you do is invite friends, families, and neighbors and have them pay a small entrance fee.
